Spox: Putin not to meet with businessmen to discuss sanctions
MOSCOW, Apr 11 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has no plans to meet with businessmen to discuss the new U.S. sanctions, spokesman for the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
He also said that the Russian financial system has a high safety margin.
“The Kremlin treats this, I repeat, as emotional outbursts, partially speculative expressions. We need a calm and sober assessment of the situation. You know that volatility happens, the system has a safety margin, a good safety margin. So, in fact, let us see a government report, it covers economic policies.”
On April 6, the U.S. imposed sanctions against 38 Russian tycoons, officials and companies.
